Classes start on Mondays!
Classes will be Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:30PM. Please arrive early to allow time for transit, traffic, parking, and to make sure you are in the classroom ready to get started by 7:00AM.

What to Bring
Current TX residents with valid TX Drivers License or new residents to TX with out of state License. ALL are required to show proof of residency.
Drivers License
You must have a valid TX Drivers License in order to obtain a CDL in Texas. If you currently have an out of state license you will have to get that transfered to a TX license. Out of State and limited term license will not be accepted.
DOT Physical / Hair Follicle Drug Screens
Ability to pass DOT Drug Screen and Physical. These will be administered on the first day of school. Bring a list of any medications you are currently taking. Glasses or hearing aids if applicable. More information below for what to expect when taking your DOT Physical.
Social Security Card
Raider Express requires that every driver presents a valid Social Security card or a receipt from the Social Security office showing you have ordered a new Social Security card.
Proof of Residency
All CDL Applications are required to show 2 Proofs of Residency in order to test for your Class A Permit. Please refer to link below for the list of documents that will be accepted at DPS.
Hair Follical Drug Screen & DOT Physical
All students will be given a Hair Follicle Drug Screen and DOT Physical on the first day of training. Please read through this information, if you have any additional questions please refer to this link. www.fmcsa.dot.gov
Coming From Out Of Town?
Raider Express offers lodging at the La Quinta Inn & Suites. Check in is anytime after 3 pm on Sunday. Check in at the front desk with your Raider Express approval email.
- All rooms are doubles and you will have a roomate.
- The hotel offers breakfast every morning beginning at 6AM.
- If you would like to ride the shuttle it leaves every morning at 6:40AM from the main hotel entrance and picks up at the school main gate at 5:45PM.
- You will be required to check out of the hotel on Friday Mornings. You may then return on Sunday afternoon after 3PM.
- All rooms are non-smoking.
The Hotel is available for those that do not live in the DFW area and must be approved by your recruiter prior to your stay.
